The Washington Post Wants YOU!
The Washington Post is interested in talking to adult caregivers for a story about gender imbalance. Many studies have shown that women make up the majority of caregivers for aging or disabled parents. One team of researchers recently found that even when controlling for other factors – such as career demands, childcare arrangements and other variables – the single biggest criteria for deciding which family member will care for an ailing parent was gender.
