BMI stands for Body Mass Index. It is a type of estimate of your body fat determined by using your weight and height. Your BMI can be low, normal or high. The higher the BMI is, the greater the chance in developing a serious medical condition such as diabetes, heart problems or high blood pressure. It can also cause other serious problems. Your BMI is a good number for you to know when it comes to overall health. I encourage you to discuss your number with your doctor.
