Mind Full or Mindful?

Blog, Health and Wellness

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and do not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. So often in life, we are so busy planning and scheduling our day.  Our cellphones, computers and social media constantly remind us of our next appointment or event.

Mindfulness is the understanding the power of voice to make the right choice right now and understand everything is  connected.  You have the power, authority, and the right to make healthy choices for your life. Each person can be mindful of the choices and decisions that impact your wellness and your quality of life.  Just because you receive an invitation or request does not require you to say “Yes”.  Be mindful and purposeful about the time, energy and investment of your choices.

When your body is physically tired, listen to your body and go home to rest.  Do not over overcommit yourself!  Sometimes, you may have to say no to a good opportunity in order to be prepared when a great opportunity becomes available.  This does not make you selfish, self-centered or uncaring.  You just need the resources and tools to inspired you to be mindful.
